BetHorizon.com reserves the right to request valid ID, or verifiable personally identifying information for identification purposes, from Members at any time. These documents and information are required as proof of legal age and as part of the security requirements for credit card transactions. How are the lines and odds created?
Our professional lines-making group combines information from many sources that include weather reports, injury reports, historical data, and sports monitoring services to set an opening line. The line is then adjusted as wagers come in and as information changes.

What is the minimum I can wager?
You may play Internet casino games for as little as $1.00. For Internet sports betting, you can bet as little as $10 and over the phone, the minimum is $50.

Can I leave open slots in my parlays and teasers and fill them in later?
Customers can leave open spots in parlays and teasers to be filled in later, as the customer pleases. There are no restrictions on when these spots have to be filled.

Can I make "IF WIN" plays on a later call off of any pending proposition wager?
BetHorizon.com offers the most flexible "if" wagers in the industry. Customers are able to make "if win" plays on later calls off any pending wager. It can be a straight play or up to a 3-team parlay. You can also choose to make "if tie or lose" wagers.

Are a tie and a winner or a tie and a loser "no action" on all two-team teasers?
A tie on a 2-team teaser, regardless of the outcome of the other game, results in no action.

Can I mix sides and totals in my teasers and parlays?
Yes, you can mix sides and totals in teasers and parlays.

Although most sports books offer money lines on professional sports, am I allowed to use those money lines in parlays?
Customers are allowed to parlay money lines on any game that offers one.

What types of wagers do you provide?
The types of wagers we offer vary by sport. For a detailed description, please refer to the Types of Wagers page and to our Rules and Regulations.

How long does it take to grade a game once it is over? When will the money be in my betting account?
Games will be graded at the end of the event; your account will be updated immediately after the grade.

Why do I have to risk $110 to win $100 on straight football wagers?
10% is a standard fee used by sportsbooks worldwide and is commonly known as the "juice" or "vig" (vigorish). In an ideal situation, the same amount of money will be wagered on both sides of the football line and the sportsbook will take its 10% fee from the losing side. In the event of a tie or "push", all bets are refunded and no "juice" is charged.

Will I ever get a busy signal, even at crunch time, when trying to call your book?
No. BetHorizon understands the importance of maintaining an overabundance of fully- trained staff on hand around potential "crunch times". Our policy regarding this issue is to always operate with MORE staff working rather than less. Sports wagering call centers receive sharp spikes in activity related to game times. We staff to cover these spike times.

Yes. During the season, our lines are up on Monday mornings for the coming weekend games and are also available 24 hours a day until the games go off.

Do you guarantee one day resolutions for disputes?
Yes. All phone calls are recorded. Therefore, any kind of dispute concerning a wager, will be taken care of immediately.

Are supervisors available for inquiries?

Can I make "IF" Wagers?
You can make "if" wagers on the telephone only.

At what time do you post lines?
Please click here to go to our Live Lines page. At this page, you can see a schedule that lists the time lines are posted by the Wagering Department. Note that these times are approximate, allowing for any eventuality that may disrupt the course of a given sports schedule. All times Pacific (PST).

How do I place a sports book wager online?
Visit www.BetHorizon.com and follow these quick steps:

1. Log in to your account: enter your account number and password.
2. Study your account status shown in the account homepage. Make sure the information is accurate.
3. Select View Lines from the menu bar located at the top of the page. Click on a sport to display lines.
4. When you are ready to play, choose a type of wager from the column on the left.
5. Click on the sport you wish to bet on and follow the instructions.
6. Once you've made your picks, enter an amount to risk or win and then click Continue.
7. Review the details of your ticket. If you agree with the content, you will be asked to confirm the bet(s).
8. Your ticket is now official! Find the ticket information in your account homepage, under Account Reports.

NOTE: Online wagers cannot be changed or deleted once they are made official (see step 7). It is important that you review and agree with the wager(s) before you confirm the ticket.

Can I cancel my Internet wager?
All internet plays are clearly displayed for review. The client is asked to confirm that all plays are correct. Therefore, no plays can be cancelled or changed once this process is complete.

Can I change or cancel wagers?
We do not change or cancel wagers. A ticket is official and wagers are FINAL, once you confirm them. If you bet online, make sure you understand the ticket information before you confirm. If you bet over the phone, listen carefully to the "readback" before you repeat your password for confirmation. Remember, you can cancel or change wagers anytime prior to confirmation.

If your request to change or cancel a wager is due to a discrepancy, file a claim with the Customer Support Department (for online wagers) or with the Wagering Department (for over the phone wagers).

Where should I submit discrepancy claims?
If you notice a discrepancy (e.g., missing play, incorrect wager amount, wrong team) in the pending wagers or wager history, please report it immediately.

Claims on wagers placed over the phone must be submitted to the Wagering Department within seven (7) days. Contact our Customer Support Department and ask the clerk to complete a claim form for you. The clerk will ask you for a detailed description of the wager, including the risk or win amount, type of wager, teams involved, approximate time the wager was placed, etc. You will be given a time to call back to learn of the claim resolution and, if necessary, to listen to the call in question.

Claims take no more than two hours to be resolved (unless claim is submitted overnight). A supervisor will play back the call for you. Any necessary adjustments made to your account will appear in the account history. Resolutions are FINAL.

All lines that are available for your choice of sport will be available in the middle of your screen. Please select the sport of choice from the navigation menu on the left-hand side of your screen.

Choose a game's line by clicking on it once.

On the right hand side of the screen, the line that you chose will appear on your betting ticket selection area. If your bet requires more than one game, please continue to select as many games as you desire. Beside each line on the betting ticket selection area, there will be a box with a checkmark. If you make a mistake or change your mind about a particular line, uncheck the box, and click on Remove Unchecked and the unselected lines will disappear. Continue selecting teams or move on.

Enter a dollar value into the amount field. This value can represent two different things. It can represent the risk amount or the amount you want to win.
Ex. If you "risk" $100, your payout is dependant on the odds of the bet. If you want to specify your payout, choose the "win" option.

Choose create wagers
The next screen will list your wager, with the option to change your dollar value from a "risk" to a "win" or to cancel the wager and start over. If you make a change and want to see the updated information, please choose update wager amounts.

What is a Straight Wager?
The team wagered on must win by the point spread given at the time of the wager. For straight wagers, unless otherwise indicated, the odds are $1.10 to win $1.00. Games that tie are considered "no action" and money is re-deposited into your account. Due to changing events, the point spread may fluctuate at any time, so refreshing your screen will update current odds.

What is a Money Line?
The team wagered on only has to win the game. The amount you lay or take for each game may vary. The money line that is read at the time of your wager is the money line you keep, regardless of any line movement.

What is a Total?
A Total is the combined score of both teams for games wagered on. All totals lay $1.10 to win $1.00 unless it is otherwise indicated.

What is a Parlay?
This is a bet of 2 or more teams (selections) in no particular order. All teams wagered on in a parlay must win. If there is a tie or 'No Action' among the selections made, the parlay reverts down to the next lowest number for payoff. In the case of a 2-team parlay, it will revert down to a straight wager.

What is a Teaser?
A Teaser is a selection of two or more teams in one wager in which the point spread is adjusted in your favor. All teams in a teaser must win. The number of teams selected and the number of points selected determine the payout odds. A 'Tie' or 'No Action' and a 'Win' or 'A Loss', on a two team teaser shall constitute a 'No Action' wager. Ties on a three or more team teaser shall revert to the next lowest betting bracket (Example: A tie on a three-team becomes a two-team teaser).

What is an 'IF Wager' and an Action Reverse?
'IF' Wagers Described

• 'IF' wagers allow the player to make a second wager pending a win on the first selection. 'IF' wagers can be made on one call or on a later call and the second part of the 'IF' wager cannot exceed the amount of the first selection.
• An Action-Reverse wager is a pair of IF Action wagers. The pairs are made by taking the original IF Action wager and placing another IF Action wager in reverse order.

What is a Future and Proposition?
Future wagers are based on the outcome of events that happen each year. All wagers are final. There will be no payouts until the conclusion of the specified season.

Proposition wagers are based on the outcome of events that happen each year. Odds change daily and all wagers are considered action at the odds quoted at the time of the wager.

What are Half-Time Wagers?
The wager is placed on the odds posted for the second half of a game only. All wagers must go the full half for action (first half and second half). All halftime wagers are calculated the same as a straight wager unless otherwise indicated. There are no teaser plays or buying of points on half-times. On half-time wagers, overtime periods are included as part of the 2nd half.

What is Buy Points Online?
You can move the pointspread on football and basketball games so that you give away less points with the favorite or get more points with the underdog. To do this, you pay an extra 10 cents on the dollar for each 1/2 point you buy in your favor. You may buy up to 3 points!

How to Buy Points Online
Make your selections and enter the wager amount. Then, choosing from a drop down box that appears, select how many points you would like to buy. After you make your selection, click 'Update all' before confirming your wager.
